Yes. Our motorhomes can be driven on a standard Australian car licence. No special licence is required.

I've never driven a motorhome before. Will I be able to manage one?

Absolutely. Most of our guests are first-time motorhome travellers. We provide a comprehensive handover and explain everything before you leave.

Do motorhomes drive like a truck?

No. Our motorhomes are automatic and designed to be easy to drive. Most guests feel comfortable after a short period behind the wheel.

How many people can sleep in your motorhomes?

Our motorhomes can accommodate up to six people comfortably depending on the model.

During school holidays and peak periods we strongly recommend booking in advance.

Habitat Noosa Everglades Eco Camp is one of our favourite destinations and a popular choice among guests.

Not always, but many guests prefer powered sites when staying for multiple nights. Airconditioning, microwaves and regular power points make for easy nights :).  While the fridge can run off grid we do recommend connecting to mains power every few days to top up the batteries.

Families

Are motorhomes suitable for children?

Yes. Our larger motorhomes are very popular with families and provide plenty of space for travelling with children.

Do they have ISO mount points for child seats?

Yes, there are 2 ISO mount points

What should we pack for a family motorhome holiday?

We recommend comfortable clothing, outdoor chairs, games, beach towels and bicycles where possible.

Queensland Travel Tips

When is the best time of year to visit the Sunshine Coast?

The Sunshine Coast is a fantastic destination year-round, but many travellers consider April to October the ideal time to visit. During these months you can enjoy warm sunny days, lower humidity and comfortable temperatures for beach walks, sightseeing and outdoor activities. Winter is particularly popular for motorhome travellers as the weather remains pleasant while avoiding the hotter summer conditions.

When is whale watching season in Hervey Bay?

Whale watching season in Hervey Bay generally runs from July through to October each year. During this period thousands of humpback whales migrate along the Queensland coast and many stop in the calm waters of Hervey Bay to rest and play. It is widely regarded as one of the best whale watching destinations in Australia and a highlight of any Fraser Coast road trip.

What is the best time to visit Stanthorpe?

Stanthorpe is beautiful throughout the year, but autumn is often considered the best season to visit. From March to May, the region experiences crisp mornings, comfortable daytime temperatures and stunning autumn colours. Apple harvest season is also in full swing, making it the perfect time to visit local orchards, wineries and farm gates. Winter is also popular, especially for travellers who enjoy cool-climate wines and cosy country escapes.

When can I pick apples at Sutton's Farm?

Apple picking at Sutton's Farm typically takes place during the apple harvest season, which generally runs from late summer through autumn. March and April are often the most popular months to visit, with fresh apples, apple cider, apple pie and other local produce available from the farm shop. We recommend checking Sutton's website before your trip for the latest seasonal updates and picking availability.

What's the weather like in North Queensland during winter?

Winter is one of the best times to explore North Queensland by motorhome. Between June and August, daytime temperatures are usually warm and pleasant, with lower humidity and less rainfall than the summer wet season. This period is ideal for visiting destinations such as Airlie Beach, Mission Beach, Cairns, Port Douglas and the Daintree Rainforest. Many travellers consider winter the perfect time to enjoy the Great Barrier Reef and tropical North Queensland.

What is the best time to visit the Whitsundays?

The Whitsundays can be enjoyed year-round, but many travellers prefer visiting between May and October when temperatures are comfortable, humidity is lower and rainfall is generally less frequent. These months offer ideal conditions for sailing, snorkelling, island tours and exploring Whitehaven Beach. If you're planning a Whitsunday sailing adventure, this is often considered the most enjoyable time of year.

What is the best time to visit Habitat Noosa?

Habitat Noosa is beautiful throughout the year, but the cooler months between April and October offer comfortable temperatures for camping, kayaking and exploring the Noosa Everglades.

Is Kenilworth worth visiting?

Absolutely. Kenilworth has become one of Queensland's favourite food destinations thanks to its famous bakery, local dairy products, welcoming country atmosphere and proximity to the beautiful Mary Valley.

What is the most underrated road trip destination in Queensland?

We think Agnes Water and 1770 deserve more attention. Beautiful beaches, relaxed coastal charm, easy motorhome access and stunning sunsets make it one of Queensland's hidden gems.

What is the best family road trip from Brisbane?

The Sunshine Coast Hinterland and Noosa Adventure is one of our favourite family-friendly itineraries, combining beaches, wildlife, local food, national parks and fantastic campgrounds.

What is the best road trip for couples?

The Stanthorpe Wine & Food Trail is perfect for couples looking to enjoy wineries, local produce, scenic countryside and a slower pace of travel.
