This unforgettable journey takes you through the stunning Tweed Coast, the famous beaches of Byron Bay, the rolling hinterland around Nimbin and all the way to the beautiful seaside town of Yamba. Along the way you'll discover local markets, tropical fruit farms, pristine beaches, rainforests, country villages and some of the best camping locations on Australia's east coast.

Whether you're a first-time motorhome traveller or a seasoned road tripper, this itinerary offers the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.

Day 1 – Brisbane to Pottsville

Distance

Approximately 110km

Cross into New South Wales and discover the laid-back Tweed Coast.

Pottsville is often overlooked by travellers heading directly to Byron Bay, but it's one of our favourite coastal locations.

Walk from Pottsville Beach to Hastings Point at sunrise. It's one of the most peaceful stretches of coastline you'll find anywhere near Brisbane.

Day 2 – Pottsville & Tropical Fruit World

Day 3 – Pottsville to Byron Bay

The short drive to Byron Bay lets you spend plenty of time exploring.

Visit Australia's easternmost point and enjoy spectacular coastal views.

Wategos Beach

One of Australia's most beautiful beaches.

Day 4 – Byron Bay Hinterland & Nimbin

Distance

Approximately 70km round trip

Today's journey takes you beyond the beaches into one of Australia's most unique regions.

Minyon Falls

One of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Northern Rivers.

Day 5 – Byron Bay to Yamba

Distance

Approximately 135km

Continue south along one of Australia's most scenic coastal drives.

Lennox Head

A great morning coffee stop.

Ballina

Explore the Richmond River and coastal walking tracks.

Angourie

One of New South Wales' hidden gems.

Highlights include:
